Rare facsimile of the works of Roman poet Horace (65-27 BCE). Once the property of the Italian Renaissance poet and scholar Petrarch (1304-1374) with marginal annotations. The original manuscript (Cod. Laur. Med. Pluteus 34.1) stems from the late 10^th to early 11^th century and is held in the Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana, Florence, Italy. The unusual cover is made to resemble wood and metal.
