ISS#71904

Eduardo Kac is an internationally recognized artist known for his work that deals with the issues of the cultural impact of biotechnology, memory in the digital age, to evolution. ISS#71904 is a simple visual step-by-step instruction of how to build Kac’s Inner Telescope, a simple paper art piece built and made in space. This sixteen-page booklet contains metallic line drawings of the steps needed to construct the handmade paper telescope in non-gravity space. The building of this telescope is a collaboration between Eduardo Kac (pronounced Katz) and French astronaut Thomas Pesquet who built the telescope aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
