In the Sand: Book of Permanence and Change

CB Sherlock is a printmaker and book artist who creates one of a kind works and limited-edition books. Her books contain hand-painted images, printed scenes, layers of paper. She states that her aim is to look at “the threads that connect us: connections to the land, our past, and to each other.” In the Sand is a collaboration between Sherlock and poet Joanne Toft. The four poems each have the same cadence and are about permanence and change. The book has a soft cover with a concertina spine, bound with a Coptic Stitch and stick binding. The text is letterpress using polymer plates of two colors on Thai Mulberry paper.
