My name is Kaela Shannon, and I am a sophomore studying fashion design in the college of DAAP at The University of Cincinnati. I am from Cincinnati and I came to UC for the DAAP program because I aspire to become a successful fashion designer. I took the Documenting a Fashion Icon: Bonnie Cashin class because I thought it would be a different break from the normal DAAP classes that every other sophomore was taking, and I thought it sounded interesting! So far my favorite thing that I have seen in this class is the details that Bonnie Cashin incorporated into her garments. I love the snaps, pockets, and all of the interesting details that Bonnie paid attention to that really give the clothing a certain flare. I learned some amazing things during this class that I will take with me throughout my years in DAAP!
