My name is Elisa Pruitt, and I am a third year Communications major at the University of Cincinnati. I am from Bexley, Ohio, which is a small suburb in Columbus. I decided to take the Bonnie Cashin class because I love all things fashion, and I always enjoy taking a DAAP class. I have most enjoyed learning about Bonnie Cashin’s designs. It was interesting to learn and research about the materials and methods she would use for her pieces, and then get to see her actual garments in person. I was able to touch the garment and analyze the details of her garments up close which was cool! This class gave me a hands on opportunity to experience real, historical, fashion garments that many other people will never get the chance to!
