My name is Maria Lee and I am a third year student at the University of Cincinnati. I am a Marketing major, Fashion Studies minor and also receiving a Public Relations certificate. Originally from Cleveland, I have always been inspired by all things art and design. My dad works at the Cleveland Museum of Art so growing up I could spend all day getting lost in art work. Over the years, my love for the arts has expanded greatly to the fashion world. After graduation, I have hopes of moving to Chicago and working PR for a fashion magazine.
Before signing up for this class I knew very little about Bonnie Cashin or the course in general. However, after the first class I already knew how much I would love it. One of the main reasons why I enjoy this class is because it combines my love for museum and exhibits with my passion for fashion. I have also really enjoyed learning about garment conservation and it has given me an enormous amount of respect for conservationists. I am very excited to share the work the class and I have done this semester!
