margaret_armstrongMargaret Armstrong (1867-1944) is considered one of the most influential book cover designers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Her artistic style melded Art Nouveau and rhythmic symmetry with an emphasis on natural motifs. Armstrong also developed her own distinctive type which distinguished her designs from her contemporaries. Armstrong produced over 250 cover designs over her career and she was also an accomplished botanists, editor and author.
