UCBA librarians Lauren Wahman, Michelle McKinney and Heather Maloney (accompanied by her family) showed up bright and early to represent the library at the 4th Annual UCBA Blue Ash Dash 5K for Scholarships. The rest of the library staff opted for the ‘sleep in’ option bringing the department to 100% participation. $52,000 was raised at this year’s event with proceeds going to scholarships for students at UC Blue Ash.

UCBA Library Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

The UC Blue Ash Library, in collaboration the Office of Hispanic/Latino Affairs, is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a library display highlighting Hispanic/Latino books and culture. The books will be on display in the library from September 15, 2016 to October 14, 2016. The items are available for checkout with a valid UC ID. Checking Out the Chicago Public Library: UCBA Librarian Visits the Harold Washington Library Center

One a recent July 4th holiday visit to Chicago, Michelle McKinney, UCBA Reference and Web Services librarian, made a brief stop at the Harold Washington Library Center (HWLC) of the Chicago Pubic Library (CPL). The main branch of CPL is located on 400 S. State Street, Chicago, IL 60605 in the South Loop. The building is a site to behold. It is 10 stories high, 756,000 square feet, and takes up a full city block. Here are just a few photos from Michelle’s all-too-brief visit.
