This mustard-colored weather coat is another one of Cashin’s signature canvas designs made during her time at Sills, when she started experimenting with materials other than leather and suede, such as tweed, canvas, cashmere, wool, or jersey, always adding a leather or suede trim. Hints of deep-olive colored leather trim can be seen on the turn-back cuff sleeves, center-front lining, and the belt, that lies at the natural waist. Attached to the belt, lying on the right hip, is a saddlebag pocket that can be seen either the front or back view, complete with a turnlock closure. One brass turnlock closure can be found at the nape of the neck, creating a non-constrictive foundation. This reveals further that her designs were created for the active woman. The inside is lined in yellow, deep green, red, black and white plaid cotton.
