Schedule for UC Data Day 2020, World Changing Data – How digital data will impact our future

Please note, all events will be held in The Great Hall at Tangeman University Center with the exception of the Power Session, held in room 400 A-B in TUC.

8:30 – 9:00 Registration opens for Power Session Attendees
9:00 – 10:15 Power Session Text Mining & Natural Language Processing Requires registration – Capped at 60 participants. Held in 400 A-B
9:30- 10:30 Data Day Registration and Coffee/Light Breakfast
10:30 – 11:00 Data Day Welcome
11:00 – 12:00 Keynote Speaker Dr. Glenn Ricart, US Ignite
12:00- 12:45 Lunch and Service Providers Resource Fair Service Providers available for one-one discussion
1:00- 3:30 The Technology -Data Drive Changes in the Future of Work. During this interactive session, UC Data Day attendees and participants will learn more about the impact of data on our digital future and then brainstorm ideas/suggestions for focusing our research and education efforts to prepare our urban community for the digital future.

A Q&A session with the panelists, an electronic poll, visualization of the data and discussion will follow. The process will repeat with presentations from our education panelists, and after a voting session, the top five recommendations will be selected.
