Cincinnati Park Board Records Bring A Taste of Spring

Wildflower Slide

The Archives and Rare Books intern, Ms. Christina Cooper, is currently working on a perfect Springtime project, processing the Cincinnati Park Board Records.  This rich body of materials dates to the 19th century and contains studies, reports, drawings, photographs, glass slides, scrapbooks and administrative records. The images in this collection include wildflowers in the Cincinnati Parks, landscapes of Cincinnati Parks, and scenes from the Cincinnati Zoo.

Christina Cooper was formerly enrolled at the University of Cincinnati in the Honors Scholars Program, and is currently attending Northern Kentucky University where she is majoring in Integrative Studies, focusing in geography, creative writing, Japanese, and photography. Experienced in working with archival materials and rare books, and in designing web exhibits, she will be fully processing our holdings of the Cincinnati Park Board to create a complete finding aid and an online exhibit.
