Check Out These Library Exhibits

Three new exhibits have been installed in Blegen and Langsam Libraries that feature UC Libraries’ collections.

Blegen 4th Floor Lobby: The exhibit “Clifton” showcases the magazine that, according to its editor Cliff Radel, was known for “Purposefully taking a sideways look at the University and the community [that] will undoubtedly be discomforting to a great number of people who operate with fixed principles. Good.” The exhibit was created by communications design student Alixandria Wolfe, a senior DAAP student, and Melissa Cox Norris, director of library communications Learn more about Clifton magazine online via an exhibit from the Archives and Rare Books Library.

lincolnLangsam 5th Floor Lobby – “The Lincoln Highway: Main Street Across America,” curated by Lorna Newman, head of Interlibrary Services and Government Documents, and designed by Alixandria Wolfe, commemorates the 100th anniversary of this road that traverses the country starting in New York’s Times Square and ending at the Golden Gate Bridge in California. Along the way, there are numerous fun stops and attractions, including some in Ohio.

Langsam 4th Floor Lobby – “Justice @ UC,” curated by Pam Bach, coordinator of the InfoCommons at Langsam, and designed by Alixandria Wolfe, features the book Justice assigned to every incoming student to read as part of UC’s Common Reading program. The exhibit uses News Record articles (past and present) and letters to highlight a significant moment of “justice” in UC’s history.
