Easier Browsing, Improved Wayfinding in CECH Library

We’re happy to announce that we have recently installed improved signage in the CECH Library. The new signage clearly identifies the locations of our various types of children’s literature, as well as high-traffic areas like our info desk, makerlab, and classroom. Essentially, it’s now much simpler to find what you need.

The new signage marks the finishing touches of a library refresh that’s truly been an all-hands-on-deck effort. After a succession of intensive collection review projects spanning the last two years, our 3rd floor is essentially “flipped” – moving the highest-demand collections to the most prominent spaces. Since 2021, we’ve relocated picture books, juvenile and young adult fiction, children’s informational titles, the Kretschmer Collection for Native American Children’s Literature, and our small collections of textbooks and media.

To highlight and celebrate these changes, we’re planning an open house in fall – stay tuned! And for a personal tour, contact the CECH Library staff anytime at cechlibrary@uc.edu.

Wishing you all a productive and rejuvenating summer.
