More information about the exhibit is available <a href=\"http:\/\/www.libraries.uc.edu\/liblog\/2011\/10\/14\/travel-the-world-with-uc-libraries-guides-phrase-books-and-other-helpful-information-to-aid-you-in-your-travels\/\">online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nThe University of Cincinnati highlights International Education Week with keynote speaker Bol Aweng, one of the 35,000 so-called Lost Boys who fled southern Sudan during the second Sudanese Civil War. Aweng will detail his life then and now when he speaks at UC from <strong>7-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 15, in Room 400 A,B,C of Tangeman University Center (TUC).<\/strong> The event is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>Many other programs are scheduled.\u00a0 A few other highlights include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>International films<\/strong> from China, Japan and Turkey will be screened on Monday, Nov. 14, Wednesday, November 16 and Friday, Nov. 18 in the MainStreet Cinema<\/li>\n<li>A pair of international <strong>cooking demonstrations<\/strong> in the StadiumView@CenterCourt facility<\/li>\n<li><strong>Internationally themed meals<\/strong> from Nov. 14-18 in both the CenterCourt dining facility and Mick &amp; Mack\u2019s Contemporary Caf\u00e9<\/li>\n<li>An <strong>interactive game<\/strong> testing world knowledge \u201cWorldQuest Trivia Game\u201d on Thurs., Nov. 17<\/li>\n<li>An opportunity to submit a first time <strong>passport application<\/strong> and have a free passport photo taken on Nov. 17 at UC International Programs.<\/li>\n<li>A closing <strong>Friday night celebration<\/strong> of \u201cA Taste of the World,\u201d including free food and entertainment, in the Tangeman University Center Food Court on Nov. 18.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>More information, including a complete schedule of events is available\u00a0online \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.uc.edu\/international\/programs\/events.html\">http:\/\/www.uc.edu\/international\/programs\/events.html<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Food, film and plenty of information-sharing will be brought into focus Nov. 14-19, when UC celebrates International Education Week.
