\"Seven<\/a>A new, 11-box installment has been added to the Seven Hills School collection which is housed at the Archives and Rare Books Library.<\/p>\n

In 2002, the library processed a collection of archival materials belonging to the Seven Hills School. This collection contains photographs, yearbooks, and other memorabilia documenting the school’s history and evolution from 1908-1999 and can be viewed by visiting the following link http:\/\/www.libraries.uc.edu\/libraries\/arb\/archives\/inventories\/seven_hills.pdf<\/a>. The new accession of materials is a continuation of the 2002 collection. However, it spans the years 1953-2011 and pertains mainly to the Lotspeich School.<\/p>\n

\"Speaking<\/a>\"Speaking<\/a>Print materials – self-studies of the Seven Hills School, mailings, newsletters, class lists, directories, and annual reports – are included, as are photographic materials. Professional school pictures, principals\u2019 albums, yearbooks (right), faculty photos, and candids all document the myriad of people and happenings at the Lotspeich School throughout the years. Events like Halloween, \u201cShearing \u2018Lot Sheep\u2019 at Lotspeich, and May Fete, are certainly of interest and nostalgia to alumni of the Lotspeich School.<\/p>\n

For those curious about the history of Lotspeich, this collection contains two \u201cOld Lotspeich wool bags that students used to keep warm.\u201d Additionally, among albums spanning the 1970s-2000s, the July \"Fire<\/a>6th<\/sup>, 1987 fire is documented photographically (as seen on left). Further, a framed photograph from December, 1988, depicts the Lotspeich School and its members with a caption of \u201cReady to Move.\u201d<\/p>\n
