{"id":13789,"date":"2012-03-05T09:12:19","date_gmt":"2012-03-05T13:12:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.libraries.uc.edu\/liblog\/?p=13789"},"modified":"2012-04-27T15:56:50","modified_gmt":"2012-04-27T19:56:50","slug":"ohiolink-access-tip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/libapps.libraries.uc.edu\/liblog\/2012\/03\/ohiolink-access-tip\/","title":{"rendered":"OhioLINK Access Tip"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/proxy.libraries.uc.edu\/login?url=http:\/\/www.ohiolink.edu\" target=\"_blank\">OhioLINK<\/a> is a wonderful resource for Ohio students, faculty, and researchers.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/proxy.libraries.uc.edu\/login?url=http:\/\/www.ohiolink.edu\/about\/what-is-ol.html\" target=\"_blank\">Thousands of electronic journals, e-books, images, videos, and sounds are available from anywhere at any time.<\/a>\u00a0 That\u2019s especially true when you are on campus.\u00a0 But when you\u2019re off campus, the OhioLINK authentication process may slow down the ease of access.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Access Tip:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 bypass the OhioLINK authentication process by logging into the UC proxy server instead, then go to OhioLINK.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Option 1:<\/strong> Bookmark this URL <a href=\"http:\/\/proxy.libraries.uc.edu\/login?url=http:\/\/www.ohiolink.edu\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/proxy.libraries.uc.edu\/login?url=http:\/\/www.ohiolink.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When you click on the <a href=\"http:\/\/proxy.libraries.uc.edu\/login?url=http:\/\/www.ohiolink.edu\" target=\"_blank\">URL<\/a> you will be prompted to log into the UC proxy server<\/li>\n<li>Log in using your UC central login<\/li>\n<li>After logging in, you\u2019ll be at OhioLINK<\/li>\n<li>You can tell you&#8217;re in the proxy server because you&#8217;ll see the word &#8220;proxy&#8221;
