Penny McGinnis, Clermont College Library’<\/a>s Technical Services Manager<\/p>\n

\"IMG_0087-flat-120\"I\u2019ve worked in libraries for over twenty years. I started out at the\u00a0Lynchburg branch of the Highland County District Libraries as a children\u2019s librarian. Then I moved to Lynchburg-Clay public school and worked in K-8 and K-5 libraries. In 2006 I started working in technical services at Clermont College Library.<\/p>\n

A favorite part of my multi-layered job is sharing library information through social media. The library uses\u00a0Facebook<\/a>, Twitter<\/a>,\u00a0and our LiBlog<\/a>\u00a0in the social media world. I enjoy connecting with our\u00a0faculty, staff, and students.<\/p>\n

When I\u2019m not at work, I write for my own blog where I review books, share devotional thoughts, poetry, photos, and art. My husband and I enjoy sports, hiking, and spending time with our children and grandchildren.<\/p>\n

You might be surprised to know that I coached high school volleyball for two years, while my youngest daughter played. That surprised me too!<\/p>\n

Books-the Bible, cozy mysteries & anything set on the east coast, especially Maine<\/p>\n

Music-Casting Crowns, Matt Redman,\u00a0and 70s pop\/folk<\/p>\n

Movie-You\u2019ve Got Mail &\u00a0Letters to Julia<\/p>\n

TV-NCIS & Gilmore Girls<\/p>\n
