{"id":31517,"date":"2016-12-05T09:00:38","date_gmt":"2016-12-05T13:00:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/libapps.libraries.uc.edu\/liblog\/?p=31517"},"modified":"2016-12-05T09:00:38","modified_gmt":"2016-12-05T13:00:38","slug":"r-workshops-in-the-health-sciences-library-coming-soon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/libapps.libraries.uc.edu\/liblog\/2016\/12\/r-workshops-in-the-health-sciences-library-coming-soon\/","title":{"rendered":"R Workshops in the Health Sciences Library: Coming Soon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In January 2017 the Health Sciences Library will begin to offer workshops on the R programing language and statistical software.<\/p>\n<p>In these workshops participants will learn:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the various data types<\/li>\n<li>how to install R<\/li>\n<li>how to import and export files<\/li>\n<li>how to select statistical methods<\/li>\n<li>how to perform different statistical analyses on given data<\/li>\n<li>how to understand when to choose a statistical analysis for answering a type of research question<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, some basic statistical analyses will be covered that include one sample t-test, two-sample t-test, and different types of regression.
