Harrison Health Sciences Library (HSL), &#8211; welcome back for the 2019-2020 school year.\u00a0 I would like to share with you some library updates and links that you can easily access for information as it relates to classes being offered in the HSL, hours of operation, new technology, upcoming lectures and collaborative spaces for study and research.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Direct link to the Donald C. Harrison Health Sciences website<\/strong>:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/libraries.uc.edu\/libraries\/hsl.html\">https:\/\/libraries.uc.edu\/libraries\/hsl.html<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>HSL Workshops for September<\/strong>:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/webapps2.uc.edu\/ce\/HSL\/Workshops\">https:\/\/webapps2.uc.edu\/ce\/HSL\/Workshops<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Dr. Lisa Federer,<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/libapps.libraries.uc.edu\/liblog\/2019\/07\/nih-data-and-open-science-expert-to-present-lecture-and-workshop-on-september-17-2019\/\">NIH Data and Open Science Expert to Present Lecture and Workshop on Sept 17, 2019<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>HSL Informatics Lab:<\/strong>\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/med.uc.edu\/comlibraries\/informatics-lab-form\/\">http:\/\/med.uc.edu\/comlibraries\/informatics-lab-form\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>HSL Sectra Dissection Table:<\/strong>\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/libapps.libraries.uc.edu\/source\/partnering-with-uc-health-to-integrate-new-technology-into-nursing-education\/\">http:\/\/libapps.libraries.uc.edu\/source\/partnering-with-uc-health-to-integrate-new-technology-into-nursing-education\/<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>HSL upgrades:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Over the summer, the electrical engineers were able to finalize the upgrades of lights on the R, E and G levels of the library<\/li>\n<li>New power outlets were installed on the R-Level of the library.<\/li>\n<li>At the request of HSGA representatives from last year, the HSL purchased four (4) new ergonomic stand-up tables that are located in the Computer Lab.<\/li>\n<li>In mid-September the HSL Circulation Desk students will begin offering scheduled 20-minute walking tours of the HSL Library and Winkler Center.\u00a0 The tour will include, but is not limited to information on equipment that can be checked out, HSL IT Help Desk services, how to navigate the Computer Lab and information on the HSL\u2019s Electronic Classroom.\u00a0 Look for more information about the tours in October.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>HSL Updates<\/em> will be posted on a monthly basis to share the HSL Workshop calendar and any other information related to things happening in the HSL.\u00a0 If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly.\u00a0 As always, we are happy to welcome you into the HSL.<\/p>\n<p>Regards,<\/p>\n<p>Lori E.
