There are few restrictions in creating an edible book \u2013 namely that the creation be edible and have something to do with a book. Submitted entries include intriguing titles such as \u201cHello, Lighthouse,\u201d \u201cBanned Books\u201d and \u201cBlue Water.\u201d Along with classics \u201cCatcher in the Rye\u201d and \u201cThe Four Million.\u201d Animal-named books are popular this year with \u201cBone Dog from Nettle and Bone\u201d, \u201cThe Nest\u201d, \u201cGrey Bees\u201d, \u201cDucks\u201d and \u201cThe Very Hungry Caterpillar.\u201d Out-of-this-world titles \u201cHitchhiker\u2019s Guide to the Galaxy\u201d and \u201cAn Immense World\u201d will have people looking up. Thrillers such as \u201cMy Heart is a Chainsaw,\u201d \u201cFrankenstein\u201d and \u201c1984\u201d may frighten attendees, while numerous children\u2019s books will make people smile with such titles as \u201cWinnie The Pooh\u201d, \u201cCheese? Save some for me please,\u201d \u201cThe Very Hungry Caterpillar,\u201d \u201cThe Grump Truck\u201d and \u201cThe Day the Crayons Quit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to promoting the reading of books, we also use this event to promote and \u201cjudge\u201d the creativity of our colleagues and friends in creating edible books. Once again, your entries are remarkable. The two esteemed judges were Meni Johnson, senior human resources coordinator, and Isabelle Brun, student assistant in the College of Engineering and Applied Science Library.
