UC Libraries New Dean<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Saurabh Verma is the new Data Literacy Research Consultant and Graduate Assistant for Research & Data Services. Saurabh will be housed in the Health Sciences Library Informatics Lab and provide research and data services across both the main and medical campuses. Saurabh has a bachelor’s degree in statistics and a master’s degree in economics, both earned from the University of Pune, India. Saurabh Verma is presently enrolled in the MS in Business Analytics program at Lindner College of Business, University of Cincinnati, and he brings to RDS more than seven years of extensive experience in the field of data science and analytics. Throughout his career as a data scientist, he has contributed his expertise to various sectors, including public relations, telecommunications, as well as sales and marketing. zSpace @ the Health Sciences Library<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n

The zSpace System is innovative AR\/VR technology that allow users to interact with simulated objects in virtual environments. zSpace provides an immersive learning platform for medical training, allowing students to examine virtual living body structures with accurate anatomical representation, plan procedures, and present findings. zSpace breaks the screen barrier with all-in-one computers featuring 3D technology, head tracking glasses, and styli that allow students to interact with AR\/VR content in an immersive environment. The zSpace system in the Health Sciences Library hosts Vived Anatomy<\/a>, Vived Science<\/a> and the Visible Body Human Anatomy Atlas software<\/a>. Each of these allows students to learn about the structures and functions of the human body\u2019s organ\u2019s and systems using detailed, fully dissectible and labelled models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
