UC Libraries is pleased to announce the 10th UC DATA Day<\/a> scheduled for Tuesday, October 8, 2024, 9:30am-3:00pm in MSB E351. Registration is now open<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UC DATA Day keynote speaker is Kira Bradford, co-lead of the Data Management and Consultancy Group for the NIH HEAL Data Stewardship Group. The HEAL project, or Helping to End Addiction Long-term\u00ae\u202fInitiative, is a large-scale project focused on ending opioid addiction through basic science research and data sharing.\u00a0The project brings together scientists, community members, the private sector and multiple levels of government and is a model for researchers navigating the new NIH data management and sharing policy.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

In addition to the keynote speaker, the DATA Day schedule will include student lightning talks, workshops and a resource fair. A more detailed schedule is available on the DATA Day website<\/a>. DATA Day is free and open for all to attend and is sponsored by the Office of the Provost through a universal provider grant.\u00a0Lunch will be provided for registrants<\/a>.
