There are few restrictions in creating an edible book \u2013 namely that the creation be edible and have something to do with a book. Today\u2019s entries covered all genres \u2013 from fiction to non-fiction, animals, food, classics, contemporary titles and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:48% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1848\" height=\"2920\" src=\"https:\/\/libapps.libraries.uc.edu\/liblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/carrots.png\" alt=\"carrots\" class=\"wp-image-46831 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/libapps.libraries.uc.edu\/liblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/carrots.png 1848w, https:\/\/libapps.libraries.uc.edu\/liblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/carrots-89x141.png 89w, https:\/\/libapps.libraries.uc.edu\/liblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/carrots-768x1214.png 768w, https:\/\/libapps.libraries.uc.edu\/liblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/carrots-972x1536.png 972w, https:\/\/libapps.libraries.uc.edu\/liblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/carrots-1296x2048.png 1296w, https:\/\/libapps.libraries.uc.edu\/liblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/carrots-190x300.png 190w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1848px) 100vw, 1848px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p><br \/><br \/>Popular books represented on screen and now as edible books were \u201cDune,\u201d \u201cBridgerton,\u201d \u201cPride and Prejudice,\u201d and \u201cTwilight.\u201d Children\u2019s books made  for popular edible books. This year we had \u201cCharlotte\u2019s Web,\u201d \u201cFreckle Juice,\u201d \u201cToo Many Carrots,\u201d \u201cBlack Hearts in Buttersea,\u201d and \u201cMatilda.\u201d Young Adult books made a presence this year with \u201cDiary of a Wimpy Kid\u201d and \u201cHarry Potter.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><br \/>Animals were a theme this year with \u201cPenguin Island,\u201d \u201cDragons Love Tacos\u201d and \u201cHow to Eat Fried Worms.\u201d Both fiction, \u201cThe Warmth of Other Suns,\u201d \u201cGrapes of Wrath,\u201d \u201cThe Silver Bone\u201d and \u201cWhite Teeth,\u201d and non-fiction, \u201cEyes on the Prize,\u201d \u201cAn Easy and Proven Way to Build Good Habits,\u201d and \u201cHow Infrastructure Works: Inside Systems that Shape our World\u201d were represented. Along with the 18<sup>th<\/sup>-century classic \u201cDe montibus, silvis, fontibus\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to promoting the reading of books, we also use this event to promote and \u201cjudge\u201d the creativity of our colleagues and friends in creating edible books. Thank you to the two esteemed judges: Brian Gray, associate dean for collections (non-edible collections), and Usha (oo-sh-uh), student staff member in the CECH Library.
