Langsam Library is a busy place as over 5,000 incoming students participating in UC\u2019s New Student Orientation visit and learn about the spaces, places and people of UC Libraries. They watch a video that show cases the equipment, services and assistance made available in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.libraries.uc.edu\/services\/student-technology-resources-center.html\">Student Technology Resources Center<\/a> (STRC). They learn how to locate library resources in the catalog and take a walking tour of the fifth floor of the library where they find where books are located in the stacks. A librarian interview in Between Two Book Carts introduces the students to the people available to assist them in the library. In addition, they learn how to print and get an introduction to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.libraries.uc.edu\">UC Libraries web site<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It is a busy hour, but the goal is to make the students comfortable with the library, introduce them to librarians and staff and to be aware of what UC Libraries has to offer.
