This exhibit brings together primary source materials and analysis on Joseph Baermann Strauss, an 1892 graduate (Civil Engineering) of the University of Cincinnati, and the chief engineer of the Golden Gate Bridge. This exhibit provides details and documentation on Strauss’ qualifications as a professional engineer, as well as his pivotal roles with the Golden Gate Bridge project.
