The Southwest Ohio Folklore Collection features a diverse sampling of folklore. The collection includes folklore of Southwestern Ohio and features information on various ethnic groups that are found within the region. The majority of the individual collections are written passages, though the collection does feature an array of scanned images, photographs and booklets. The collection is arranged by genre into fifteen series. The papers are then ordered alphabetically by author or collector. The sixteenth series contains the audio collection.
