Upcoming Grant Writing Seminars

Opportunity: Grant Writing Seminars and a Workshop presented by Grant Writers’ Seminars and Workshops LLC

 Deadline: Registration deadline (including payment of fee, where applicable) is March 17, 2017

April 19, 2017, 1 pm – 5:00 pm: Grant Writing: Getting Started, a half-day seminar on how to begin the grant writing process. The seminar will cover basic information, such as how to develop a fundable idea, the fundamentals of a grant, how to write for reviewers, and preparation of the application. Fee $100.00. No prerequisite. A workbook is included.

Target audience: This seminar is intended for AHSS & STEM faculty, graduate students or postdocs who have no prior grant writing experience, who are in the early stages of, or completely new to, grant writing.

Note: If you are attending the all-day Write Winning Grant Proposals Seminar you do NOT need to attend this seminar. This information will be included in the day-long workshop.

All seminars will be held in the Vontz auditorium.

Available Workbooks:

  • NIH workbook provides step-by-step strategies to write an NIH grant proposal appealing to reviewers at NIH. Includes the Forms C update and Biosketch supplement information.
  • NSF identifies the steps to prepare for Fast Lane submission of grant proposals with information about submission changes made in 2013.
  • Any Agency is applicable for submission to agencies other than NIH or NSF.
