The CERF optical ring, which provides Internet connectivity to the university, is experiencing a hardware-related issue affecting UC connectivity only. Therefore, emergency maintenance will occur overnight and is expected to last from midnight to 2 am. The university’s Internet access will be down while the maintenance is performed and the unit is rebooted.
UC services via the Internet will be unavailable from off campus. On campus, however, users will be able to access UC Internet services but will NOT be able to link to anything that is not uc.edu or on campus. The Library Catalog and Websites, as well as Pharos printing, will be available from on site but users will not be able to follow links to resources off campus such as OhioLINK or online subscriptions.
