For students seeking subject tutoring or academic coaching, the Learning Assistance Center (LAC) offers drop-in sessions in Langsam Library on Monday and Wednesdays from 4-7 p.m on the 4th floor close to the Academic Writing Center.
Last year, the LAC served more than 5,000 UC students across the university through both in-person and online tutoring. The LAC’s dedicated tutors participate in ongoing training to equip them with strategies to support extended classroom learning. The LAC offers tutoring in more than 400 courses including subjects such as math, science, languages, business and writing. For more information on the LAC, visit their web site at http://www.uc.edu/aess/lac.html.
And for help with writing, don’t forget that the Academic Writing Center is located on the fourth floor of Langsam Library in room 401N. If you would like a trained writing tutor to help you get started on your writing assignment or review your writing, make an appointment or stop in during drop-in hours. To schedule an appointment, or to check the drop-in hours, visit their web site at http://www.uc.edu/aess/lac/writingcenter.html.
