Far be it from us to let Preservation Week pass unmarked! We invited everyone from the UC and PLCH communities to come down and celebrate with us.
Guests were treated to a slideshow and guided tour of some of the more exciting projects from the lab’s history (hint: nitrate film identification), as well as a peek at the new photo-documentation area and hands-on demonstrations of paper mending and the perennial crowd favorite, the hot stamper. And of course, no Preservation Lab function is complete without cake.
Overall, it was a successful celebration of another year of good, fun, and hard work here in the Preservation Lab!
