Far be it from us to let Preservation Week pass unmarked! We invited everyone from the UC and PLCH communities to come down and celebrate with us.

_DSC0466Guests were treated to a slideshow and guided tour of some of the more exciting projects from the lab’s history (hint: nitrate film identification), as well as a peek at the new photo-documentation area and hands-on demonstrations of paper mending and the perennial crowd favorite, the hot stamper. And of course, no Preservation Lab function is complete without cake.

Overall, it was a successful celebration of another year of good, fun, and hard work here in the Preservation Lab!
