Check Out Our New Look!

Thanks to the generosity of donors, we’ve made some big improvements in the Clermont College Library this summer. We’re excited to see students using our refreshed space to collaborate, work, and relax once again this year.

first day fall

Some of our newest additions on the 1st floor for Fall 2016 include:

  • New lounge-type chairs
  • New collaboration tables with built-in electric
  • A refreshed, relocated computer lab
  • Bearcat-card enabled photocopying

Let me know what you think of our new look.  And don’t forget to check out our 2nd floor – still the only quiet study zone on campus.

Best wishes for a successful school year,

The Main Event: A Red & Black Revue

mainevent

Clermont College is hosting a special event and an online auction to raise money for our 21st Century Library Transformation, student scholarships, and a new fine arts classroom.  Be a part of the action and plan to attend and/or bid in the auction.  The event includes dinner by the bite, an open bar, live music, and a special address from President Ono.

On a personal note, I’m beyond thrilled to have our library among the year’s fundraising priorities for Clermont College.  Strong attendance at this event will have a huge impact on our ability to improve our library.  Even if you cannot attend, please help us spread the word.

What: The Main Event: A Red & Black Revue
Where: Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites — Eastgate
When: Tuesday, April 5, 2016. The event begins at 4:30pm.

See you there,

The Clermont College Library has an exciting new offering this year especially for students — laptops!

To check out a laptop, simply present your Bearcat Card student ID at the information desk.  Laptops check out for 4 hours and are for in-library use only.  Our laptops provide the same great software access as the PCs in our computer lab, while also offering the flexibility of choosing your study space inside the library.  And with our 150+ electrical outlets, you can choose from a variety of spaces on our 1st and 2nd floors — some quiet, some collaborative.

If you’d like to check out a laptop or have a question, please stop by and ask your friendly library staff.

Best,
