Together with James Taft Stever, Margo Taft Stever and Hong Shen published the book Looking East: William Howard Taft and the 1905 U.S. Diplomatic Mission to Asia, The Photographs of Harry Fowler Woods (Zhejiang University Press, 2012).
Libraries Closed January 20
UC Libraries will be closed Monday, January 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Day. The Donald C. Harrison Health Sciences Library is the exception and will be open 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday).
DAAP Library Closed Thursday
Due to a scheduled electrical outage of the DAAP complex, the DAAP Library will be closed, Thursday, December 19th. It will reopen Friday, December 20th.
LIBRARY CLOSING AT 1PM
Libraries Closed for Thanksgiving
UC Libraries will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 28 & 29 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. All library locations will close at 5pm on Wednesday, November 27. Regular hours resume Saturday, November 30. A listing of library hours is available online.
UCit@Langsam, the 24/7 computer and study space, will remain open. Entrance is available via Langsam Library’s 5th floor lobby.
A Display of Human Rights and Human Wrongs
In celebration of International Education Week, the Marx Law Library and UC Libraries collaborated on a display in support of UC’s First-Year Student Common Reading Program and the book Justice. The display, titled “Justice Around the World: Human Rights and Human Wrongs,” features the College of Law’s Human Rights Quarterly and the Pennsylvania Studies in Human Rights. Both are edited by Bert Lockwood, Distinguished Service Professor of Law and Director, Urban Morgan Institute for Human Rights. Enjoy Music in the Gorno Library November 14
The next concert in the Music in the Gorno Library series will take place on Thursday, November 14 at 5 pm in the Albino Gorno Memorial Music Library Reading Room, 6th floor of Blegen Library. Presented by UC’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) and UC Libraries, the concert will include works by Wagner and Schoenberg.
