School & Country: A Survey of Student Military Life at the University of Cincinnati is a new exhibit available on the Archives & Rare Books Library website. The exhibit emphasizes the unique impact that the military had on UC student life and the many contributions made by UC to the armed forces.

UC’s year-long celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin and the 150th anniversary of “On the Origin of Species” presents John van Wyhe, founder of Darwin Online. He will discuss “Mind the Gap: Did Darwin Avoid Publishing His Theory for 20 Years?” April 16, 4 p.m., Engineering Research Center, Room 427. On April 17, 4 p.m., he will discuss “Charles Darwin: The True Story” at the Public Library’s Huenefeld Tower Room (800 Vine Street, 3rd Floor). More information is online.
Libraries Awarded a LSTA Minigrant to Digitize The Cincinnatian Yearbook
Fifty-six volumes of The Cincinnatian covering the years 1894 through 1950, containing 16,000 pages will be scanned and made available to the public online via OhioLINK’s Digital Resource Commons. More information about this project is online.
