Website Migration @ Clermont Library

Heads up — the Clermont College Library is migrating to a new website template on Friday, December 11th.  While our website’s address won’t change, the site may not be available for your use on Friday on an intermittent basis.

If you’re experiencing issues , please visit the UC Libraries website for access to all of your favorite library resources like Summon, Academic Search CompleteUC Library Catalog, and more.  When the new site is complete, the look and feel will be similar to other UC Libraries websites, including the Langsam Library, the Blue Ash College Library, and the Health Sciences Library.

Thanks for your patience as we continue to make changes to serve you better.

The Jewish Hospital & Cincinnati Jews in Medicine

Clermont College Library is happy to add the newly released The Jewish Hospital & Cincinnati Jews in Medicinefred's book. The author, Dr. Frederic Krome, earned his PhD in history from the University of Cincinnati in 1992. He’s taught at UC Clermont since 2007. As Fred moves through the history of the hospital and physicians, he highlights several breakthroughs Jewish health professionals accomplished, including Dr. Albert Sabin and his work on the polio vaccine.

In my memories of Jewish Hospital, I recall the doctors and nurses giving excellent care to my own family members. I think you’ll enjoy Fred’s recollection of this vital part of Cincinnati history.

Searching the CatalogSkye DVD blog

To look for a specific type of film, use the advanced keyword search.

  1. Select the “Advanced Keyword” tab in the catalog.
  2. Under “Add Limits” select “Videos/DVDs”.
  3. Add additional search terms, such as an actor (in all fields) or director (as author).
  4. Select Library location-Clermont or any of the other available locations.

Many DVDs, including feature films, can be borrowed from other institutions in the same manner as books.

Stop by the library to see if your film is available or search and place a hold!
