April 1 marked the 9th annual UC Libraries celebration of the International Edible Books Festival. Over 20 participants created edible creations such as: Animal Farm, Where is the Green Sheep?, In Cold Blood, If You Give a Cat a Cupcake, Caps for Sales, and Toxic Torts amoung other literary greats.

For the 9th consecutive year, the University of Cincinnati Libraries will celebrate the International Edible Books Festival with an event scheduled for Thursday, April 1, 2010, from 12:30-1:30pm in the 5th floor lobby of Langsam Library. The Libraries are seeking people interested in creating an edible book for the viewing and consuming enjoyment of those in attendance at the event.
Looking for a place to study during exams? Langsam Library begins exam hours March 12 through March 20.
UPDATE: The Geology-Mathematics-Physics Library is now open after a power outage this morning in Braunstein Hall.

People searching the UC Library Catalog may notice a new location on certain item records — Mercantile, which stands for the Mercantile Library.
Explore the Albino Gorno Memorial Music (CCM) Library in its new location on the 6th floor of Blegen Library.
Accessible via the grand staircase in Blegen Library, the renovated CCM Library includes a computer and listening lab, group study and microfilm rooms, areas for study and reading, and space for the library’s collections of books, periodicals, and scores.
The Ohio Department of Health is now providing a web-based tool, the Ohio Hospital Compare that measures how well hospitals follow scientifically backed recommendations for care in areas such as heart attack, stroke, infection prevention, patient safety, and more.
