National Library Week Wrap-Up

The UCBA Library enjoyed celebrating National Library week with our students, staff and faculty.

There were several opportunities to win gift cards and UCBA gear. Here are the happy winners:

Library Director Heather Maloney with Caitlin Toler. Caitlin won a $10 Gift Card to the UCBA Bookstore by participating in the UCBA Library survey.

Librarian Michelle McKinney with Kayla Matthews. She won a $10 Bleecker Street Gift Card for answering a Question of the Day.

Friday’s Infographic highlights favorite books-turned-movie.

The question of the day asked visitors about their favorite cookbooks:

The trivia board included an interesting quote from Judy Bloom and a fun fact about our own Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County.

Library visitors enjoyed a sweet, nerdy treat (Air Heads and Nerds) when they stopped by the desk.

Library faculty and staff pulled showed off their bookish fashion with library/reading themed t-shirts and buttons.

The Question of the Day continued with asking visitors about their favorite biographies/autobiographies.

The trivia board noted the recent ranking of UC’s Health Sciences Library as one of the Top 25 Health Science Libraries in the U.S.

All Week
- Library Question of the Day: Each day we’ll post a question related to libraries, reading or books. Answer the question, snag an Info Geek button with your submission and enter for a chance to win a $10 Bleecker Street Gift Card.
- Library Trivia: Interesting library facts will be posted daily on the rolling chalkboard directly across from the library entrance.
- Library Survey: Share your thoughts and ideas about the library on a short survey and enter for a chance to win a $10 UCBA Bookstore Gift Card.
Wednesday, April 16th
- Pick up a nerdy treat at the Info Desk from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Check out the library staff as they rock their library gear and bling.
Friday, April 18th: Winners for the Bleecker Street and UCBA Bookstore Gift Cards will be chosen at noon. Winners will be notified by email.
