Looking for a Place to Study Late for Exams?

owlLangsam Library will offer extended hours until 2am from Sunday, December 1 through Thursday, December 12.

After the regular Langsam Library hours, library space only will be open for students to study until 2am during exams. To enter the library after the regular closing time, students must do so via the 5th floor UCit@Langsam card-swipe entrance (a valid UC ID is required).

A Display of Human Rights and Human Wrongs

Basic RGBIn celebration of International Education Week, the Marx Law Library and UC Libraries collaborated on a display in support of UC’s First-Year Student Common Reading Program and the book Justice. The display, titled “Justice Around the World: Human Rights and Human Wrongs,” features the College of Law’s Human Rights Quarterly and the Pennsylvania Studies in Human Rights.  Both are edited by Bert Lockwood, Distinguished Service Professor of Law and Director, Urban Morgan Institute for Human Rights. Enjoy Music in the Gorno Library November 14

New Digital Repository for Scholarly Works of Faculty and Students Will Enhance Teaching, Learning, and Research

The University of Cincinnati has embarked on a project to build a next-generation UC digital repository, and has joined two new consortia that will greatly advance the creation of this new repository. The initiative is being led by the University of Cincinnati Libraries in partnership with UCIT, the Office of Research, and the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP), the initial partners in what is expected to be a university-wide effort.

National Womens Studies Associal Meeting, Nov. 7-10

NWSA: National Women’s Studies Association is holding its annual meeting in the Duke Energy Convention Center, November 7-10.  Established in 1977 to promote and support research, teaching, and learning about women and gender, NWSA’s annual conference is the only meeting of its kind within the United States that exclusively features feminist scholarship.   Continue reading
