Feeling rebellious? Come to Triceracopter on the 4th floor of Langsam Library at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 30 for a special Banned Books Trivia Night!
The Libraries’ research guides underwent a makeover this summer with a new look and feel, responsive design and enhanced browsing functionality, resulting in a user friendly interface.
With over 450 guides, there is something for everyone. Users may browse the guides by:
UC Libraries will be closed Monday, September 7 for Labor Day, except for the Donald C. Harrison Health Sciences Library, which will be open 9am-5pm. Langsam Library will close early Sunday, September 6 at 6pm.

Join UC Libraries for a public book signing for Looking East: William Howard Taft and the 1905 U.S. Diplomatic Mission to Asia. The Photographs of Harry Fowler Woods.
The event, scheduled for June 24, 7pm, at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Rookwood Pavilion, will include readings by authors Margo Taft Stever and Hong Shen.
Suzanne Reller, reference/collections librarian in the Archives and Rare Books Library, was among 32 archivists who earned the Digital Archives Specialist (DAS) certificate from the Society of American Archivists (SAA) after completing required coursework and passing a comprehensive examination in February.
SAA’s DAS certificate program was developed by experts in the field of digital archives and provides archivists with the information and tools needed to manage the demands of born-digital records. Continue reading

UC Libraries will be closed during UC’s Winter Season Days beginning December 25 through January 4. The libraries will reopen with regular hours on Monday, January 5.
The UCit@Langsam computer and study lab on the 5th floor of Langsam Library will also be closed.
The Langsam Library book drop will be available for books and videos only. (Please note – equipment must be returned in person when the library is open again on January 5).
