In our 2014 and 2015 Clermont College Library student surveys, an overwhelming number of students asked for the ability to photocopy documents using their Bearcat card. And now our new 3-in-1 machine will do just that, in addition to producing high-quality document scans and printing in both color and black and white.
Keep the feedback coming! We want to be your best resource for student success.
The Clermont College Library is proud to present a trio of student artists and a trio of their works during the summer term — Samantha Padgett’s soulful still lifes in pencil, Ellen Taylor’s bold depictions of fire, water, earth, and spirit and Natalia Martinez’s manga-inspired meditations on love and death.
The exhibit will run through August. Thanks to Professors Kelly Frigard and Anthony Wolking for coordinating another fantastic collection of student art in our library.
Clermont College is hosting a special event and an online auction to raise money for our 21st Century Library Transformation, student scholarships, and a new fine arts classroom. Be a part of the action and plan to attend and/or bid in the auction. The event includes dinner by the bite, an open bar, live music, and a special address from President Ono.
On a personal note, I’m beyond thrilled to have our library among the year’s fundraising priorities for Clermont College. Strong attendance at this event will have a huge impact on our ability to improve our library. Even if you cannot attend, please help us spread the word.
Try your luck, buy a duck — it’s just a buck. We’ll draw the winning duck from a kiddie pool on March 31 at Clermont College’s Spring Fling event.
This year, you can come to the library to buy your duck OR enter online for a chance to win an Asus Transformer Book 2-in-1 laptop generously donated by Fifth Third Bank. Each duck purchased = 1 chance to win. All proceeds from this fundraiser benefit your 21st Century Library Transformation.
We’re happy to report that our new library website is up and running! This fresh new look allows users to have a more seamless experience transitioning to other UC college libraries, as well as the benefit of using a site tested and designed with library users in mind.
Heads up — the Clermont College Library is migrating to a new website template on Friday, December 11th. While our website’s address won’t change, the site may not be available for your use on Friday on an intermittent basis.
With support from Clermont College Dean Jeff Bauer, we are working closely with the UC Foundation to raise funds for our library’s renewal. In addition to repeating last year’s Quacks for Stacks fundraiser, we’re planning more initiatives for the coming year including A Literary Affair on Wednesday, September 23rd.
This fun event will kick-off the transformation and include a plaque dedication ceremony for former Library Director Fred Marcotte, as well as highlight exciting plans for improvements to the space. For more information about this event or donating to the 21st Century Library Campaign, contact Dana Parker 513- 558-9964 or Mindi Hilgeman 513-558-3420.
Have you ever wanted to be a superhero? Maybe you are somebody’s hero? Everyone’s inspired by somebody or something. Batman had Robin, Batgirl had the library, and the Flash had the Justice League. Who has inspired you to be a hero?
Stop by the Clermont College Library and enter the “Be Your Own Hero” contest. The grand prize — $25.00 gift card.
While you’re in the library, share the name of your literary hero on the superhero board — a comic book character, a fictional or biographical person, a movie or TV personality, whoever you like.
You can be a successful student by being your own hero.
The Clermont College Library now checks out charging cables to our students for both Android and Apple devices (both Lightning and 30-pin styles). All you need to do is present your Bearcat Card student ID at the information desk and let us know which one you need.
Available on a first-come, first-served basis, you can use our charging cables inside the library at any of our 150+ electrical outlets on the 1st and 2nd floors. We’re excited to provide this convenience for our students to help you stay connected.
