The Albino Gorno Memorial Music (CCM) Library and Music Listening Center will be closed December 24 through January 7 so that it may move from its current location on the fourth floor of Blegen Library to its newly renovated location on the sixth floor.

UPDATE: All services have been restored.
Please note that on Saturday, December 19th from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm electric power to Langsam Library will be out for planned maintenance. This power outage will cause the UC Libraries Web site, the Library Catalog, and Interlibrary Loan services through ILLiad to be inaccessible during this time.
In addition, UCit@Langsam will be closed 5:00 am to 1:00 pm because of the power outage.

Libraries Begin Break Hours
Have a safe and enjoyable break. UC Libraries will begin break hours Saturday, December 12. Hours are posted at each library location and online.
Langsam Library Exam Hours
Looking for a place to study during exams? Langsam Library has exam hours. The hours are listed online and at the library.
And don’t forget that UCit@Langsam is open 24 hours on the 5th floor of Langsam Library. Entrance after hours is via the 5th floor lobby with a valid UC I.D.
Veterans Day Observance
A reminder that UC Libraries will be closed Wednesday, November 11 for Veterans’ Day with the exception of the Donald C. Harrison Health Sciences Library, which will be open 9am to 5pm.
Join us for Books by the Banks
Join nationally known authors Jennifer Weiner, Garth Stein, and Jeannette Walls along with local favorites Greg Rhodes, Ellen Schreiber, and Thayne Maynard to celebrate the joy and reading of books at Books by the Banks: Cincinnati USA Book Festival, Saturday, October 17, 10am-4pm, Duke Energy Convention Center.
The day-long festival will feature over 80 regional and national authors, book signings, author panels, and activities for the entire family to enjoy. All events are free and open to the public.
Freedom without Walls! Exhibits to Commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall
November 9, 2009 marks the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. In commemoration of this important world event, the University of Cincinnati Libraries have created two exhibits on display through fall quarter in the Walter C. Langsam Library.
DAAP Library Featured in Cincy Chic
The services provided in the Robert A. Deshon and Karl J. Schlachter Library for Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning, along with its new librarian, Jennifer Pollock, are featured in an article on Cincy Chic.
Among other accolades, the article states “…the DAAP library provides several subscriptions to periodicals, including Bazaar and W and international magazines like L’Officiel (French) and Sportswear International (British) so that library visitors can be up on the latest trends happening around the world.”
