A Poem in Your Pocket All Month Long
April is National Poetry Month. In celebration of this, UC Libraries has mounted an exhibit on the fourth floor of Langsam Library celebrating poetry and poets.
Included in the exhibit is information about the Elliston Poetry Room, some Ohio poets, poets with a Cincinnati connection, and a sampling of UC poets including Armando Romero, Danielle Deulen, Don Bogen, James Cummins, John Drury and Nicasio Urbina.

We finished the day at the “Saturday night market” in Goa and had dinner at pink cafe.
Hungry?! Bite into an Edible Book with UC Libraries
Once again, the University of Cincinnati Libraries will celebrate the International Edible Books Festival with an event scheduled for Tuesday, April 1st from 1:00-2:00pm on the 5th floor lobby of Langsam Library.

From Jay:
Pre meeting before seeing another NGO (swift laundry). The workers were rescued from the sex trade
Then lunch somewhere in Goa. This was the best meal of the entire trip for me.
We visited another NGO. Then a trip to a Tibetan market.
Finished the day at a night club situated at the top of a large hill requiring a two-minute drive in an open jeep to the top.
Pool side at the club. This concluded the longest day of the trip. I was up at 6am, then I finally crawled into bed at 4am.

It is a holiday in India today. The did this just outside gates of hotel. Drew a large crowd and stopped traffic in front of our hotel celebrating the holy day.
Then lunch and a flight from Delhi to Bangalore to the next leg of our trip.
We ended a very busy day with a visit to a NGO then dinner at our hotel, a former palace.

Had lunch at a five star restaurant (American standards). Took a 3-hour bus ride to Taj Mahal area. First, we went to a large fort (red fort) in the area . Then went to Taj Mahal – the pictures say it all…amazing…

We meet with 3 of the Non-Government Organizations (NGO) . Then went for a car ride to one of the main brothel areas of Delhi. No picture taking was allowed for fear of starting riot, and for our own safety.
Also went to diner at a Indian restaurant (the host).
