Earlier in the semester, UC Clermont ran a pilot for extended hours. As promised, we did some reflection on the use and attendance of these hours. It took us a little time to prepare the staff, but we are now ready to announce longer hours for the remainder of the semester.
Beginning November 1, UC Clermont Library will remain open until 6:30 PM on Mondays through Thursdays. Friday hours will remain the same with a 5 PM close. These hours will be in place until the semester ends on November 10.

User access to electronic library resources is controlled by UC credentials and the Libraries’ proxy server. To improve management of this, UC Libraries changed proxy servers. As a result, all URLs containing the library proxy need to be updated to the new server address before December 2021.
If you do not update links before then, they will no longer work for faculty or students. If you have links in your Canvas Course, Bookmarks, or reference manager, visit these office hours to receive help in update the URLs. UC Clermont Library has made some exciting changes to its staffing. Emily Wages transitioned to a new role and is now UC Clermont’s Collection Manager. Emily will now work with new acquisitions, course reserves, donations, and weeding projects.
To fill Emily’s previous role as Operations Manager, UC Clermont is excited to welcome Brea McQueen to the team. Brea will handle technology lending, library spaces & events, library accounts, and student employment.
Clermont College Library will extend its hours for midterm preparation. From September 27 to October 8, Clermont College Library will remain open until 7:00 PM. These hours will be on Mondays through Thursdays, with Friday hours remaining the same.
Clermont College Library is here to serve you this fall semester. Our campus library is open for visitors with plenty of online support for distance education. In addition, we have some interactive events planned for students, faculty, and staff.

Textbooks
Print textbooks will be available for checkout again this fall. Students can ask at the first-floor checkout desk for the textbooks and they are available for 2 or 4 hours depending on the book. You can fill out a course reserve request to have a textbook put on reserves.

Contact your liaison librarian for books that you would like to see added to Clermont Library’s collection.

EZ Proxy
In May 2021, UC Libraries changed its proxy server which effects ALL library resource links. This change can cause problems with accessing library materials online. Please remember to check ALL the library materials links that are in Canvas or in any other part of your courses to see that they work.
